This documentary deals with the cultural heritage in the Mediterranean area, a move that comes within the framework of the Euro-Mediterranean Foundation for promoting this rich and diverse heritage, each of us must protect it.
Focus is made on three projects funded by the Euromed Heritage: « Fondations for a strong future», « Mare Nostrum » and « Medliher »
« Fondations for a strong future » a project for young Lebanese and Jordanians, whose objective is the promotion of cultural heritage in youth education, in partnership with museums.
«Mare Nostrum » targets the enhancement of the historical heritage of the Mediterranean harbour cities located along the phoenician sea route. The final goal of the Mare Nostrum: reactivate touristic activities within cities in order to increase their development.
«MedLiHer» aims to backup regional intangible heritage. The project means to strengthen institutional capacities of the four Mediterranean partner countries to participate in international mechanisms for safeguarding intangible cultural heritage and the development of protective measures with the participation of communities and groups involved in each country.
