The village of Akkar Denbo lies approximately one hundred and thirty kilometers from the capital where people are far from any developmental project nor do have any basic rights. Abject poverty and deprivation is what the inhabitants of the village of Denbo are suffering from. These people lack of the basic needs. This made European Commission in Lebanon, classify this village among the eighty poorest villages in Lebanon and finance a medical centre which might heal the wounds of the families. (Patient) Jewel Taha : I have benefited from the European Union's project which created a medical centre within the village avoiding me thus to incur long distances to visit the nearest doctor.
