The Minister of Foreign Affairs and expatriate Lebanese community receives EU ambassadors in Beirut in the presence of the Head of EU Delegation, Patrick Laurant.
On 15 June, the EU-Lebanon Association Council was held in Luxemburg under the Spanish Presidency. Ali Shami, Lebanon Foreign Affairs Minister, met Miguel Angel Moratinos, Spanish Minister for Foreign Affairs and M. Füle, EC member in charge of Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy.

In 2005, the European Union has allocated a sum of Euros 142 millions within of protocol between the delegation of The European Union, the Minister of the Environment, the Minister of Interior, the Lebanon Municipalities and the OSMAR.

Opening of the Euromed Post Conference under the patronage of the general direction of Post and the company LibanPost, with the presence of the Lebanese Minister for Post, Dr Cherbal Nehas.
The European Union and the Lebanese government held a meeting of the Sub-Committee between the European Union and Lebanon. The participants have talked about the issues of human rights, governance and democracy.
The meeting is the third meeting in the framework of regular dialogue between the European Union and Lebanon under the Association Agreement and European Neighbourhood Policy.
The discussions were done in opened atmosphere and led to positive exchange of views on a wide range of issues.
the Sub-Committee has talked about a number of important issues, especially the changes related to the electoral framework and the application of a national mechanism for the prevention of torture. The committee has also raised the status of Palestinian refugees and the rights of foreign workers, women and children, and prisons in Lebanon

Inspection carried out by the Lebanese Minister of Economy and the Head of the UE Delegation to AL Fenar Laboratories in Beirut.
Within the framework of cooperation between Lebanon and the European Union, a project of preserving Lebanese heritage is underway in the city of Baalabek.
The project includes the cleaning of a land that used to be a place for rubbish and various kinds of wastes.
The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy visit to Lebanon.
On Monday 15 March, prior to the visit of Baroness Ashton, the Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Lebanon, Patrick Laurent, has held a briefing for the press to present the Lisbon Treaty and its implications for EU foreign affairs, and the new post of High Representative.
The second phase of the cultural heritage project will be launched in coincidence with start of the use of the first phase achievements that took around four years.
Within the framework of cooperation between the European Union and Lebanon, a program, which is part of Euromed Heritage4, is under way in Lebanon. Civil society in the country, through youth, is trying to get national and local heritage known to the population.

The European Commission has not only funded -through the "Tempus"- the developing of teaching materials and new programs and provide grants to facilitate the movement of students and teachers, but also supported the State in fulfilling its organisational tasks. The EU-funded project Invest in Med is organising a training session on the creation and the facilitation of Business Networks between 14 and 16 December 2009.
A press release said the event, held in collaboration with the Assembly of French Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ACFCI), in Casablanca, Morocco, will discuss the issues of corporate networks (clusters, groups, poles of competitiveness?) in high-priority sectors in Morocco and Tunisia (textile, tourism, mechanics, ICT).

The delegation of the European Union in Lebanon held a presser on Friday about the latest legislative elections that took place in Lebanon.
