Rural women living in the remote areas of the region Sidi Lahcen in the city of Sidi Belabes (eats of Algeria) are being given the chance of working even from home through sewing projects.
These women are being taught sewing in a centre partially funded and equipped by the European Union, and then they will be working from home and making a living from their works.
The project cost is four hundreds millions centimes (forty thousands Euros).

The regional laboratory for water treatment and analysis in the city of Oran (west of Algeria) is one of seven laboratories across the country. It is providing water treatment and analysis for all western cities. This laboratory has been equipped by the European Union within the framework of cooperation and partnership with Algeria. Since new equipments came into use, the time of giving final results of water quality went from seven days to twenty four ours.

In cooperation with the European Union, the Quality Program in Syria held a workshop in Lattakia Governorate on the infrastructure of good quality in Syria : the role, benefits and principles.
The Governor of Lattakia praised the importance of the workshop in shedding light on the ISO good quality of any product that should meet the Syrian standards which are considered part of the world of the world record specifications regulating any commodity.
The Quality program in Syria is important in creating the appropriate environment for developing quality in Syria and improving the competing ability of Syrian products in the local and foreign markets.
Syria needs to apply the good specifications standards to all institutions in the country, in accordance with the world technical laws and legislations, in a manner that would guarantee Syria's joining of the World Trade Organization.
