Works of the first ministerial conference on environment and renewable energies of 5+5 Mediterranean dialogue came to a close Monday evening in Oran, by the adoption of Oran Declaration. This declaration, which includes the proposals presented by Algeria to promote cooperation among Mediterranean¿s ten countries in the field of environment, is centred on the creation of a Mediterranean Observatory of Sustainable Development, to be based in Oran (Algeria), for the follow-up, control and the evaluation of environment, preparation of sustainable development works in the 5+5 Mediterranean dialogue countries. The meeting decided to set up a Mediterranean plan including the countries¿ climate plans to regain harmony and elaborate a Mediterranean town planning plan which adopts the principle of graduation.
