The new magazine ORTAS (No. 3) will be broadcast Saturday, April 17 at 4 p.m. on the channel. It will shortly be available on the website! See the summary of the three topics discussed below :
1) The delegation of the European Union has made a donation of 60 kidney dialysis machines to the health ministry, 20 machines were destined to the public hospitals of Damascus and 40 ones were given to public hospitals of various provinces over the country.
The modernization of the health sector in Syria stands in the core of the Syrian government and the European Union concerns having as a main objective the improvement of the Syrian citizens and the Iraqi refugees in Syria health care.
This initiative is part of the development plan of the health sector considered as the most important cooperation program which budget amounts to 39 million Euros.
2) Playing grounds for youth and children have been fitted out in various quarters of Homs city located at some 150 kms north of Damascus. These playing grounds allow them to practice sport in a secure and safe environment.
This project has been achieved in collaboration with the counsel of Homs city and its municipalities with the financial support of the European Union as part of MAM program which consists in improving towns’ management.
3) "Our green planet" led by a group of volunteer youth and children is a very active association in Lattaqee located on the Mediterranean basin, at some 300 kms north of Damascus. These volunteers supervised by environment experts lead various actions mainly the recycling of wastes to protect the environment and public health.
This association which works in collaboration with another association called < The rainbow > and the Syrian secretariat for development has benefited from a grant from the European Union in the frame work of the Mediterranean Youth Project which aim is to develop exchange and to bring peoples together through youth volunteer actions.
